Are you interested in public service?
If so, have you considered the Boren Awards? The Boren Scholarship provides up to $25,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study a foreign language in world regions that are critical to U.S. interests. In exchange for funding, award recipients commit to working in the federal government for at least one year after graduation.
This workshop will be presented by Boren Outreach and Recruitment Specialist Michael Saffle, who will provide information about the application process, tips on how to become a strong candidate, and career benefits such as non-competitive eligibility for federal employment, graduate school discounts and networking opportunities. You will also hear from UCLA alumni who will share their experiences and career paths as Boren Scholars.
